The difference is in the letter case.
In my ntbtlog.txt file I see the following (among others)
Did not load driver \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\parport.sys
Loaded driver \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\mrxsmb20.sys
Loaded driver \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\mpsdrv.sys
Did not load driver \SystemRoot\System32\DRIVERS\srvnet.sys
On my laptop (HP G70 120EM, Vista Home Premium SP2) I can only find System32\drivers. As you can see it has locations of System32\drivers, System32\DRIVERS, system32\drivers and system32\DRIVERS. I am most interested in system32\DRIVERS. If you want to know what got me here in the first place, please read below the dotted line.

I am having a BSOD or Stop Error, I have been having sleepless nights over this. I don’t have any Restore Points and don’t want to do a fresh Vista reinstall. When I boot up Vista, it displays the BSOD for about a second then restarts and continues the loop. I only get the error code STOP : 0x0000008E (0×0000005, 0x82A45CC7, 0XA419F91C, 0×00000000) no driver name of file. I can only use my laptop in safe mode. I enabled ntbtlog.txt to get the bootlog and that is where I am at now. The last line in the bootlog before my system crashes is:
Did not load driver \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\parport.sys
I have done virus scans with different antivirus(StopZilla – bad mistake, Bitdefender, Malwarebytes, IObit e.t.c). This whole thing started a few days ago when I got Vista Total Security 2011 virus. If you a feeling super helpful and you want more info to help me please email me.
